Are you avoiding selling on social?
If there’s one question I get more than any other it’s what to say on social media. More specifically, what to say about your product or service on social media AKA selling (shock, gasp!) People really have a way of winding themselves up over the concept and generally speaking over-think it all. Can you relate?
There are a few key points to note here:
You need to check in with your money mindset (more below)
You NEVER want to directly sell on social media (it’s a social platform, you need to show the value of your product or service and how it will enhance your clients life)
People buy with their emotions and justify it logically later (so build a strong brand that people relate to and trust and you will have no problem with sales)
In todays video, I explore all of these concepts so make sure you watch the video to get all of my tips.
But one thing I’d love to dive deeper into with you is your mindset as if it’s not right it’s going to affect how you show up online and will hold you back from growing your biz.
I talk to a lot of clients who feel nervous and even guilty for promoting or speaking about their products and services because they don’t want to be ‘greedy’ or ‘selfish’. I totally get it, we’ve all been here in one way or another – it’s normal.
But telling people that NEED what you offer all about how you can help them is a service to them. What if the very product or service your selling can transform their lives and you are denying them of that transformation.
When I buy a product or service I love, I am ecstatic and rave about it to everyone I know (yes, I’m one of those 😉 It brings me immense pleasure to uplevel my life whether it’s through a new course, training, or even the odd pair of shoes!
So the next time you’re about to post on social, I want you to remember the following:
I am worthy
My product / service is fricking awesome
I’m going to speak about the value that it adds to peoples lives in a social way – there is no need for me to ‘sell’ in a traditional way
It’s really that simple. It does not have to be this big, scary thing. Just focus on helping people and adding VALUE.
Don’t avoid taking about your business. Don’t hope they saw it somewhere on your website. Be very clear about what you love about your business and the way you can help them. If you back yourself and your business and you are genuinely passionate about serving your audience, there is nothing salesly or scary about it.
Now, I’d love to hear from you (and reply to every single email I get), so let me know – what has been holding you back? And will you reframe your mind and give it another go?
Here’s to dreaming big,
Kady x
